Chairman Jon Cleereman called the meeting to order at 6:00pm on May 12th, 2025.
All board members in attendance.
Jon asked for the minutes to be read from last month’s meeting. Jon approved mins 2nd by Chris
First item on the agenda was Grant work for the fire dept. No change per Paul Burhns
2nd item was road maintenance. Chris had contacted the Forest Service but they have not responded back. Jon said he had tried also and had no luck with responses. Brushing would need to be done prior to grading town roads. Jon ask Chris to contact Ralphy from the 100 miler about brushing if he would be able to do it. Dale Nichols the grader operator from Popple River would not grade our roads until more gravel was brought in. Jon said he would contact the Aschenbrenner boys to see if they could do the hauling.
3rd item on the agenda was town truck maintenance. The sand in the box would need to be emptied and cleaned. Jon said he would take care of this.
4th item on the agenda was the fire truck maintenance. Paul wanted to wait to have any maintenance done due to the fire danger level. Wait for the danger level to come down and try scheduling someone to come to the department to do maintenance instead of taking the trucks out of service to a mechanic shop. Paul mentioned Oshkosh truck possibly. Jon asked to move this to next month for discussion.
